LOVERS!!! I loved this book. Like this took me back to my Katy Evan’s girl crush that came when I first met Real.
Two words. Tahoe. Roth.
I really should end my review there because there is nothing left to say.
Ok. Fine. I’ll give a little more.
So this is the story of how Regina (Gina) and Roth go from friends to lovers. If you read the MANWHORE series- you know Roth is this delicious viking looking womanizer and best friend of Malcolm Saint who somehow bonded with Gina- the sexy, fiesty, relationship hating best friend of Rachel, who is now Malcolm’s wife.
So maybe read the MANWHORE series if you haven’t. But you don’t have to. You’ll know how that series ends but for Tahoe and Regina- their relationship starts here. And it is
Tahoe is absolutely a womanizer. But he has a serious soft spot for Regina and somewhere along the way these two form a friendship. Gina thinks she just needs to fuck him once and get it out of her system. See- she is reeling from an absolutely shitty break up from her ex, Paul. But Gina wants love and she deserves it so early on she starts up with a guy she meets- Trent. Trent is nice, he’s sweet and seems to like her. But he’s not Tahoe.
Let me pause to say- there is no physically cheating here. Tahoe and Gina do flirt heavily but the lines are not officially crossed. Emotionally- different story.
Tahoe is compelled to stay away from Gina because even though he knows Trent isn’t good enough- he feels like he isn’t good enough either- that Gina deserves the best (swoon) and it can’t be him.
But like all good friends to lovers stories- these two can’t keep away.
Will these two be able to overcome the obstacles they put in their own way? You have to read to find out.
LADIES MAN is a standalone, HEA and it’s wonderful. The tension, the angst, the banter, the sexual tension, the sex- it all makes for a wonderful story.
