Ok, when I was asked to do a guest review on this book, I for realsies geeked out!
So, Ms. Phillips was my intro to all things romance related. I started out with her HOT ZONE series - via paper back from the library years ago. So because I loved her so much, I bought a kindle. Now I OWN everything she has written. Gosh I love her!
Anywizzle - In DARE TO TAKE, it’s Tyler Dare’s story. In this story we meet Ella Shaw, who happens to be his little sister’s best friend. Ella is a sweet woman who hasn’t had an easy upbringing. Just when she thinks things start going better for her; life throws her a curveball and in sweeps Tyler. Tyler is not without his own demons.
In this story we see them both struggle with what they want vs. what they think they’re worthy of having.
I just love the Dare family, all of them. If I were to be blessed with a bomb ass family, I’d want to be apart of the Dare’s. They love each other something fierce, it truly is something amazing.
I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book. I read it while trying to work, which I absolutely didn’t do. So essentially- I got paid to read this book! HA!
For me, this story was a quick read. It was light, it didn’t make me want to scream and kick out of frustration that the characters couldn’t get their shit together. It flowed very nicely. It makes you want that love. That all consuming storybook romance. It makes my tiny grinch heart beat again.
I loved how she built the characters, I loved the plot, and I enjoyed catching up with the other relatives from previous stories. No, you don’t have to read the other books, this is a stand alone. But I would strongly recommend doing so- have I said how much I love Carly yet?
So I will close with this, if you have not read anything by Ms. Phillips, I would start now. I would absorb everything Dare related. Then move onto her other series because Carly really is the best at writing love stories. If I could just sit in a room and have her read them to me I could die a happy camper (well, I have to meet Steven Tyler and Bruce Willis first, then I could die happy).
