1) What inspired you to start writing? Was there a person or moment that started you out on your career as an author?

Wendy has always been a storyteller and so writing just came naturally to her.

2) If you weren’t writing and living out your dream, what profession would be your dream job?

Wendy is about as adorable as you can get so when she gave me the cutest answer- I was not surprised. If she could be anything- she would be a school librarian. Adorbs!

3) What’s something about your writing process that you feel is unique to you or is just interesting that you can share with us?

Wendy shared that she takes months off of writing in between books. I personally think this is pretty cool. Sometimes authors come out with books so quickly, it’s hard to keep up. I know people don’t like to wait forever but it’s nice to have some time in between books!

1) What inspired you to start writing? Was there a person or moment that started you out on your career as an author?

It looks like those crazy dreams you’ve been having could be the next big story because Jillian’s writing career started as a result of her having dreams. She kept having dreams about the same people- but none of those people where her or anyone she knew. While her husband was working out of town, Jillian found herself with some free time and to keep herself from getting bored, she put those dreams into a story.

2) If you weren’t writing and living out your dream, what profession would be your dream job?

Writing has always been a dream for Jillian. She thought that she was already living her dream in her job as a buyer in the fashion industry. We agree- that’s a pretty cool job! But we’re glad Jillian found her way to writing!

3) What’s something about your writing process that you feel is unique to you or is just interesting that you can share with us?

Jillian describes her writing as schizophrenic. She sees scenes out of order and uses Scribner to put them all together. She writes as things come to her.

One thing that Jillian shared with me that I thought was neat is that “your characters grow with you.” Since her Keaton Chronicles started- to where they are now- her main characters have grown. It all sounds pretty cool, if you ask me.

Jamie McGuire has written one of the post popular series in the romance world. So that inspired her to start writing? A friend! Her best friend encouraged her to write and so she wrote Providence.

2) If you weren’t writing and living out your dream, what profession would be your dream job?

Before becoming a writer, Jamie was an X-Ray Technician. She said that if she hadn’t started writing, she’d probably still be doing that. But being a writer is who she is now and she couldn’t turn back. We wouldn’t want her to.

3) What’s something about your writing process that you feel is unique to you or is just interesting that you can share with us?

Now how is this for interesting: Jamie is basically a vampire. Ok not really- but she does “work a night shift” in that she writes between the hours of 10 pm and 7 am. When she’s writing, she knows the basic idea and will jot down some plot points. She might know the beginning and the end and then works on filling in the rest.
