MICHELLE’S REVIEW
Well Lovers- Viper is back!! And he’s frustrating as ever. but we still love him- don’t we.

I’m not going to lie to you. I struggled a lot along the way with Viper in this book. I had to stop thinking about Viper through my own eyes and start looking at him as though I was the Michelle in his life. The woman that had fallen in love with him in CEMENT HEART - flaws and all.
Once I took a step back and really thought about who Viper is- the story worked.
This is what real life looks like and I recognize not everyone wants that in their romantic fiction. But that’s what you’re going to get. Humans making human errors because we aren’t perfect. This is very much about finding the person who loves you as you are and finding the person that makes you realize that love is messy but 100% worth it.

I applaud Beth Ehemann for not taking the easy road and choosing to not make Viper 100% loveable or even likeable at times. She made you question everything you ever thought about this character but it paid off. Is Viper easy to love? No. Is anyone really though?? The reality of this book mirrors so many of our imperfect relationships and that is what made it outstanding.
Beth remains a solid go to author for me and she’s done it again with WILD HEART. Now on to Andy’s story in EVEN THE SCORE.

Book #1 in the VIPER’S HEART DUET

Lawrence Finkle, known simply to his die-hard Minnesota Wild fans as Viper, isn’t used to hearing the word no. He lives his whole life just a little on the reckless side. After all, life is just one big game, right?
Wrong.
When what was supposed to be an innocent bet goes horribly wrong, he’s left to deal with the aftermath—and the guilt. In an effort to make things right the best way he can, he ends up falling for the one person on the planet he never should have.
The old saying goes that two wrongs don’t make a right . . . or do they?
