Well. It’s official. STAY is my favorite book from the BLEEDING STARS series.
I absolutely loved Ash and Willow’s story.
“Do not mistake broken for weak.” This mantra hit me so hard. I think we’re all a little broken but it doesn’t mean we’re weak. In fact- that brokenness often makes us strong. This is why I loved Willow. She loves so fiercely and she’s got plenty of reasons to just be weak- but she’s not. She’s so remarkable. Yes- she loves with her whole heart but she loves so widely and loves so many. And it takes her a while to let herself enjoy love that is just for her.
Ash is broken as well but how he channels that is to not ever be tied to anything too serious- until Willow. The thing that broke him- shattered him. And while Willow has the power to put him together- their pasts could tear everything apart.
There were twists I didn’t see coming here and they took this story to another level. It was amazing.
So I have to say - all of these books are very insta-love which I admit is not my favorite thing but AL Jackson makes it work. And in this book- I hardly noticed it.
This book can be read as a standalone but it is part of a series and I do think WAIT (Austin and Edie’s book) is worth reading before this one since Edie is Ash’s sister and pieces of her story play into who Ash is today.
