PUCKED OVER has officially challenged PUCKED for favorite Helena Hunting book.
Let me first say, if you have ever met Helena- she is the sweetest person ever. EVER.
So for her to write like a filthy sailor is particularly entertaining.
After dying to know what went down in PUCKED UP between Lily and Randy Balls (ok Ballistic) we finally get to know. And boy was it worth the wait.
Of the three books in this series, this one gave me the largest range of emotions. Mostly I was horny because Randy fucks like a beast and loves to go downtown.
But also- Lily’s story is kind of sad. Not like- OMG how can all this happen to one person- sad. But she’s not had the easiest life. She’s lucky to have a friend like Sunny but some of her encounters with her mom in this book really got me pretty emotional. And even her goals that have to shift because of life’s circumstances- I felt for her. It was an interesting touch for a book I expected to be laugh out loud funny the entire way through. But it was a really nice touch and added a depth to the story I had not expected.
The same went for Randy. His fears were crippling but his overcoming them was awesome. I mean- I wanted to high five my kindle.
I was so happy for this couple. He also had some other issues and the way Helena worked that all in was great. You’ll see. Trust me.
As I mentioned before- the sex is off the charts. I mean. There was a lot of sexy time and it was good. Really good.
But maybe the best part of this book was how these two so easily found themselves addicted to one another. Gives us single gals hope that one night stands and fuck buddies can become more. Maybe??
Randy has a lot of growing up to do in this book and I loved taking that journey with him. Lily is the kind of heroine you can’t help but root for.
The whole gang is here and Violet is particularly insane and hilarious.
This book will make you laugh out loud numerous times, clench your thighs- numerous times, and if you’re a sap like me- you might even shed a tear or two.
