Holy shit!
Holy. Hugging. Shit!

This book was amazing. This is my first by K.A. Tucker. And I am obsessed. I’m still trying to get my thoughts organized to even write something coherent for this review.

Please, for the love of God, just read this book. Don’t read any more reviews. I read some reviews and was disappointed by all the spoilers out there. You cannot spoil this book. You have to go in blind.

I honestly cannot say very much about the book except these few things:

1. This isn’t a romance. There are some steamy scenes, but it’s background noise for this insanely bril story. PLEASE DON’T LET THAT DETER YOU. It’s worth every second of a break from your regularly scheduled book porn. You need this suspense in your life STAT!

2. K.A. Tucker is actually a very talented writer. And I’m SO hugging glad she stepped out of the romance genre, because I wouldn’t want someone this good to be pigeonholed as “another romance author”. She’s way out of that league. In fact, I have already recommended this book to my non-romance reader friends - which is a rarity for me.

3. Maggie - our main chick - is quite intriguing. It took me a minute to connect with her, but when I did - I fell hard. We are very picky about our strong heroines here at ARR and Maggie is definitely on the list of bad ass chicks!

4. This story is unlike anything you have read. I promise. If you follow us regularly, then I know what books you read. And you haven’t read anything like this. Everyone needs to read this book. And then someone needs to write a screenplay and make this into a god damn movie.
