I love books about political scandals and anything with a DC base. I mean - it is home after all!
So I knew I would enjoy POLITICALLY CORRECT.
It’s of course very timely given the fact that we are in a political season…
Our heroine, Elizabeth, is the best at her job. She gets people elected into office- well Democrats. I have to say- for as much as she said she didn’t date republicans, I was sure her love interest would be one. But our hero- William Baxter aka Liam was all Dem.
He was also something she had never seen before- a politician who said what he meant and meant what he said.
Their attraction was almost instant. But it was full of sexual tension. The real fun began as they started to dance around their feelings and ultimately give into them.
Along the way- these two stack up enemies. Liam is told by Elizabeth to fire his long time staffer which does not go well. Of course, as a result, you’re left to think that he will be the source of all the problems.
But there’s another puppet master and I won’t spoil it for you. I will say though that I thought the fallout for the “bad guy” would be bigger but I guess you have to pick and choose what to focus on.
Anyways- this book was fun and interesting and while it could have been a heavy read - it wasn’t. The sex was steamy but not overdone. I love a good sex scene but I want to read an actual story in between and that’s what you get here.
