MICHELLE’S REVIEW
Fuck me I loved this book.
And I get that maybe I am a little partial because I had the chance to read it early BUT I am 100% honest when I tell you I loved this book.
Fans of Charles Sheehan-Miles will not be disappointed. That man can write his ass off. Every single character (and there are a ton of them) has so much depth and in interesting and important. You NEVER find yourself wondering “well why the hell did he put that in there??”

If you have read one of his books you know there is often a military/political undertone. For me- that is a win but I know that is not for everyone. But if you are ever going to give that world of reading try- this is the guy you want leading you there. Charles knows his shit. And he knows how to write in a way that will capture you. This book is so full of lies and deceit and deception it was like reading the script of Young and the Restless:DC edition.

(No one gets bitch slapped by Nikki- its just that dramatic!!)
There is one more thing I feel I should warn you about. Just Remember to Breathe remains one of my favorite books of ever. Dylan will always hold a place in my heart and let me just tell you- Dylan fans- this book is going to be rough for you. That’s all I can say. But I will add these words- TRUST IN CHARLES. He has a plan and it is worth seeing it through.
For me, Girl of Lies is a crossover book. I believe that the series is going to have more romance in it but this book in particular is really the set up for a crazy ass story that is unfolding in the Thompson family. There are a lot of political references so be warned if that is not usually your thing. If you have not read about the Thompson sisters you might want to do that first though I personally don’t think it is totally 100% necessary. I do think it will help you be more invested in the story line if you know the sisters better but I do believe this has the ability to stand alone.
I personally loved Girl of Lies. Just loved it. I just thought this book was so gripping- like I could not put it down. So much happens that I couldn’t even begin to spoil it for you if I wanted because there is just too much to tell!! I was literally like this at the end.

So if you are looking for a book that might take you a bit out of your romance zone (but not completely) this might just be the book for you!
