SYNOPSIS
Kylie Wolfe and guitarist Wyatt McRae have been bad for each other for the last several years, but it’s
impossible for them to end their toxic push and pull. Not when their attraction is constantly fueled by
lust and proximity—she’s her older brother’s Lucas’s assistant and Wyatt is his best friend and band
mate.
So when Your Toxic Sequel makes a move to record a new album in Nashville, Kylie decides to make the
latest break with Wyatt official by getting the hell out of town. She’ll spend a week in New Orleans. A
week to immerse herself in the Mardi Gras scene. One week to not think about the last time she was in
New Orleans, seven years ago with Wyatt. Seven days where she won’t have to see Wyatt every day just
to fall ridiculously in love with him all over again—where, if she wants to, she can have a normal, nostrings
attached fling that won’t end in heartbreak.
Too bad Wyatt ruins everything by showing up, as gorgeous and demanding and goddamn awful for her
as ever.
Wyatt refuses to let Kylie give up on him. Not without reminding her why they both fell so far and hard
in the first place. Not without making her savor the good memories and what could be their last chance
with each other.
Note: This is a spinoff from the Devoured series.
MICHELLE’S REVIEW OF SAVOR YOU
First things first- I am running out and getting myself a boyfriend with “calloused hands.” Like seriously, I am putting that on my dating profile. Because the way Emily Snow describes Wyatt’s rough hands- my lady parts and I are convinced that’s what we need. Right now. It’s like:
Ok- so Savor You. I really enjoyed this one by Emily Snow. Of course I am impatiently waiting for more of Lucas Wolfe and the release of Consumed but Savor You was a nice distraction. In terms of a time line it runs parallel to Devoured so you get glimpses of what is going on between Lucas and Sienna but this story is really all about Kylie and Wyatt. I loved Kylie when we met her as Lucas’ spunky sister. But I really liked seeing her here in Savor You. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think a lot of us can relate to the on and off again relationship she and Wyatt have. Those of us who have experienced it know that when you finally reach your breaking point, it sucks but you’ve mustered up the strength to be done and you have to stick by it. Kind of like:
Kylie does just this but of course- she gives herself a few final moments with Wyatt. And those moments are so damn hot I couldn’t even stand it.
Wyatt. is. everything. So I wanted to hate him because he’s that guy. That guy that you love but just won’t commit. He’s hot and the sex is good but then it’s over and you’re sad and alone again. And honestly, Emily Snow does a great job of making him seem like that character for a large part of the book. Then all of a sudden you realize he’s really trying and you just want to shake Kylie because she’s already made her decision and it’s just so wrong!!!!! I won’t give anything away- but Wyatt does a lot of cute little things along the way to show he’s serious this time but towards the end you really get it and it just made me swoon. Big time. I was like
My only issue with Savor You was that there were certain bits of information that were either missing, not really explained, or explained later. For example, I could have used more on why Ky was cutting. Also the Brenna story line. It might have been mentioned in Devoured and I just forgot about it but I was fairly confused until close to the end. Sometimes the book just seemed like fighting and sex which was hot but there were moments where I just wanted a little more.
Savor You is a great read for all you My Toxic Sequel fans out there. You see glimpses of all your favorite characters and you get lots of hot sex. Who doesn’t like that?? Of course now I want more Lucas Wolfe more than ever because I just can’t get enough of him!
