Bestselling new adult author Cindy Miles is set to capture the hearts of STUPID GIRL fans again with the grand finale of the Stupid in Love series, featuring Memory and Jace.

MEMORY

Casualties.

That’s how I refer to the guys who’ve had the bad fortune to fall for me. They only see long legs that they wish were wrapped around them, a cat-like smile, and the reckless abandon to take on any wild dare. It’s all a game to me. Show me a bridge, and I’ll leap over the side. Give me a car, and I’ll race it. Give me a heart, and I’ll break it. I always win. I even showed Death who was boss a long time ago.

Or so I thought.

Now, time is running out, and I’m losing fast…and big. I met someone. Jace Beaumont. He’s smart, and good, and I dream about spending days exploring the summit of his perfect lips. But, I’m a grenade. I know I should leave him be. I can’t.

JACE

Study, class, work, repeat. That’s all I have time for. At twenty-five years old, I have a bit more mileage on me than the average college freshman. But, that’s what happens when you spend your youth drinking, partying, and bagging girls like it’s a full-time job. Now, I have goals. There’s just one kink in my plans. Her name is Memory. She’s every guy’s dream girl. She’s intoxicating. She’s trouble. I want to stay away. I can’t.

MICHELLE’S REVIEW

So lovers- Cindy. Miles. This is an author you need in your life.

She definitely writes YA but if you’re like me, sometimes you need a little youthfulness in your life and I fall in love with her characters each and every time.

This is the story of a new character- Memory- and a character we met in STUPID GIRL- Jace Beaumont. Jace is Olivia’s brother and I always liked her brothers in her book but I am fully in love with Jace now.

(Side note- where were these boys when I was in college??)

So Memory. She is a crazy character. In fact, I wasn’t sure what to make of her at first. I won’t tell you much about the why- but Memory lives life to the fullest. She is one of those people who will tell you life is for the living and go all out living her life. She lives for an adrenaline rush and has no problem staring death in the face.

And part of that lifestyle has been to not fall in love. Not only that- but she has really kept boys as playthings (which I love) until the day she decided that she wanted Jace. But Memory is beautiful and a good time so she has never had to work to get a guy hooked- again until she met Jace.

Jace is a good guy. He’s a relationship guy. He’s also a guy who is just focusing on school and the goals he has and does not need a distraction- especially in the form of one feisty girl named Memory.

But of course both of them fail miserably. Memory fails at making Jace just her plaything and falls hard. Jace fails at staying away. And that’s ok because I love them together.

But Memory is holding onto a secret. And it’s big. And it can destroy a lot.

This story had the potential to be super depressing but CMiles did an amazing job of writing about a heavy subject in a way that made it seem serious while still maintaining some levity to keep the readers from being totally depressed. Don’t get me wrong- there were parts where I was crying and choked up. But there was a lot of good, tempering the uglier parts.

And what I loved about this was that this wasn’t about two broken souls necessarily. I love those types of books too but these were two people who grew up with love- maybe not always the best circumstances in life- but nothing overly extreme. What tests them is just life- life can be messy and they see that full on. And life can definitely be unfair- we all see that in our own lives. How we choose to live life around those things is what makes us who we are. And that is what made this book so special to me.

I highly recommend this series to people. CMiles’ books are phenomenal. They are well written, smart, witty, fun and have just enough emotion to suck you in without tearing you to shreds. I’ll be a forever fan of her writing.
