so this is the short of the biz: i have always been stuck in a book. when i was a child, my parents used to brag about it to guests when they would come over, and it would get embarrassing. however, i get to laugh now, because if we were to discuss the topic of most of the books i read these days in front of mixed company, i could embarrass the hell out of my parents – karma!
like my VB (virtual bestie) michelle, i went on a reading hiatus during college and grad school. and then 50 shades kicked me in the ass. and i have been obsessing over “mommy’s naughty books” for a year now. i love contemporary, erotic, and thriller romance the most. and i will indulge in a little YA and NA now and then. i can also get into paranormal, especially if you give me some hot werewolf action. i had a goal this year to get into reviewing books, and i am so beyond grateful that HB has given us this opportunity to rock the blog world!
things i am obsessed with: kristen ashley books. pictures of david gandy. watching re-runs of will and grace. my collection of sex toys. consistently using foul language. recreational alcohol consumption. and not using proper punctuation/capitalization. and above all, the two males that keep me grounded at home.
I always find it hard to talk about myself despite the fact that I happen to think I am really awesome.
I’m fairly new to the romance novel world. I only recently started reading again for fun in 2010. After years of college and grad school I was over reading. But eventually I made my way back to the wonderful world of books through autobiographies. I started to dip my toe in the world of fiction with Cutting For Stone. I absolutely loved that book. After that I took another break from reading but last summer, I found myself sucked into the world of 50 Shades of Grey. I bought myself a Nook and the next thing I knew I was reading like a mad woman.
Turns out, there are some amazing books out there, most of which I found I like a lot more than the book that first brought me into this world of romance, even though it will always have a place in my heart. I love YA, NA, erotic romances, romances with a touch of mystery and just regular romance novels.
I’ve been writing reviews on Goodreads but wanted to graduate up to the world of blogs. I am so grateful to HB for giving me this chance to share my love of books with all of you.
