PEPPER’S REVIEW

OMG! This book was so good. Completely different feel than what we normally read and review here at ALL ROMANCE REVIEWS - which was a very nice change of scenery.

When I say “different” I mean, this book is SO SO much more than romance and sex. The relationships that T.S. Krupa developed in this story are phenomenal. There’s the bond between mother and daughter, the bitter-sweetness of living with a life after death, and the companionship of a new found love. It’s insane how much was packed into this book. And the writing - OMG - the writing.OK, so Hayden Grace (I’m just gonna go ahead and call her HG as I did whilst reading). She made this whole book for me. She’s the 15 year old daughter that I absolutely loved. I work with this age group IRL, and I just felt so connected to her from the beginning. And with all that said, I have Andy & Stefan (her parents) to thank. I’ll never leave my stance that a good kid comes from kick ass parents. And I’ll just use this time to plug my all time favorite parents - The Fockers…

Andy and HG have an incredible relationship. It reminded me of mine with my mom. Andy worked her ass off to give HG everything she needed and wanted - especially in regard to what made HG feel alive the most, snowboarding. What I loved about HG was that she genuinely appreciated it. You could feel such love and admiration from both females in this book.

And Stefan. Although he had passed away 6 years earlier during military service, TSK kept his love very much alive for Andy and HG. I’m not going to go into how, because I feel like you should read to get the full experience. It was just really beautiful how this relationship was written. It wasn’t like Andy and HG weren’t trying to move on with life or just sitting at home waiting for Stefan to walk through the door, because they were living their lives after Stefan’s death. I just really appreciated that TSK made this situation what it was - REAL. And it was beautifully written.

And then there’s Paul. The saving grace to Andy’s heart. So first I must say that unfortunately I can imagine having a life of beauty and having it torn away by death. It sucks because it never goes back, no matter how hard you try to make it the same. And what Paul did for Andy was incredible. He gave her something different. And although it was different, it was a really GOOD different. Because obviously you can’t replace a life after death. And I think that’s where people have a hard time coping. You just want that life back. But I loved how Andy accepted the different and let Paul help heal her. He was perfection. He didn’t get in the way of Andy and HG’s relationship, but rather added to it. Me, whenever Paul was around:

I really loved this book. It was very deep and made me reflect on my own life. I completely connected with Andy and HG from the very beginning. If you are in need of a valuable story to add to your life, get this book. It truly was a beautiful story.
