It was supposed to be a week of simply being, of living in the moment, and enjoying every minute while it lasted. Of course, that kind of intoxication can have lingering effects. For Sin, she found herself wanting to break all the rules, to extend her time with the stranger who stole her heart. Vegas was just the right kind of place to take such a gamble. Meeting up with BE at the gondolas was a risk. Love went against everything they had promised, but the best things in life can’t be planned.
Soon Alysin will be tested.
After guarding her heart for so long, she finally let a man in and discovered that the worst things in life happened when she least expected them. When she walked in on BE with another woman and overheard their heated conversation, she suddenly remembered there was a reason she made these rules.
Will broken rules lead to broken hearts or will she realize that though love was a gamble, she was all in?
MICHELLE’S REVIEW
Ok- Piece of advice. Read Sin at Sea BEFORE you read Vixen in Vegas or you will spend a large portion of your time like this:

So , yea. I had no clue that this was a book 2 but after I figured that out, things started to make a whole lot more sense. I still had to go back and read book 1 because there were parts of book 2 that made no sense at all or that seemed ridiculous without knowing the background. I spent a large portion of my time wondering why there was no prologue or something to explain what the fuck was going on. Again- makes a lot more sense when you realize there is an entire story before this one. Check out Sin at Sea here.
Alysin, or Sin for short has decided for once in her life, to truly throw caution to the wind and follow her heart. She packs her life up, with her best friend Jolie, and heads to Vegas to be with a man who she only knows as BE- Bedroom Eyes.
What I loved:
The sex. From Emma’s bio I was expecting some hot sex and I got it. And I was like:

I also loved Jolie. She was not afraid to give Sin a swift kick in the ass when necessary. And that kind of happened a lot more than I was expecting. So I loved her. Plus I liked the idea of sassy gay friend being a lesbian.
I thought Ben ( BE) was great. I loved his attitude about certain things that I can’t really tell you about because- spoiler. But I just think he was great. He was hot, loved sex, loved Sin and showed it. He went balls to the wall with life and it was great.
What I was “meh” about:
Honestly- Sin. Totally wasn’t connecting with her. I thought one minute she was like “I’m a total hard ass that says whatever I feel” and the next minute she was insecure and annoying. And seriously- strong women cry. The whole- “I’m not crying, it’s dust in my eye” thing - got old really fast.

There were some major events that take place in the book that I felt where almost afterthoughts. Basically, I wasn’t given a chance to emotionally connect with them. Something happens regarding a revelation of Sin’s past that I felt was a major moment and then it just sort of came and went like it was nothing. And then there is a huge event that takes place later. It was one of those moments where I normally would have been in ugly cry but I hadn’t connected to the character enough at that point and it was also just kind of glossed over a bit.
Verdict:
Overall, this is a quick but sexy read. The sex level is high, I feel the angst is relatively low and most of the characters are easy to like. Both books are quick reads and Emma has the sex part on lock so check them out!

Simple.

Emma is single and loving it. Like her first character, Alysin, Sin for short, she doesn’t believe in settling or in settling down. She loves to indulge in her passions whenever the mood strikes and enjoys keeping all of life’s cliche moments spicy.
Known for her sense of humor, Emma surrounds herself with friends whose antics often become the source of book fodder. Her ideal situation would be to explore the Caribbean while writing. She pursues that dream daily.
