Lovers. Sometimes reviews are really hard for me to write. Not because I didn’t love the book. No- in fact- I love the book so much that I fear my review won’t do it justice. And this is one of those books where I just really want you all to read it!!
So here I am- literally weeks after reading the final version of ELASTIC HEARTS and I want to just scream at you all “BUY THIS BOOK” because I don’t know what else to say.
I had the super amazingly distinct honor of being approached by the author to beta read this book. After I came back to life from passing out, I of course said yes.
I immediately fell in love with these characters- Victor and Nicole. In KALEIDOSCOPE HEARTS and PAPER HEARTS- we met Victor and we might even say we knew Victor. But it turns out we didn’t KNOW Victor.
Let me pause for a moment to say- if you have not read the first two books- despite the fact that they are standalone stories- YOU HAVE TO READ ALL THE BOOKS BECAUSE THEY ARE AMAZING.
Anyways- back to ELASTIC HEARTS.
Let me tell you about Victor. Victor is my dream man. No. Seriously. He’s sexy, he’s foul mouthed- and I love that. BUT he’s also smart, driven, passionate about work and willing to wait for something or someone that is truly meant for him. He loves his family, he teases his sister but you know she’s his world, and he’s fiercely loyal to his friends. He is - the dream. I am still searching for my Victor.
And if Victor wasn’t enough, CCon went and gave us NICOLE. Am I supposed to want to enter into a polyamorous relationship with them? Because I want to. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- When an author can make me fall in love with the Hero- great. Not shocking. But great. When an author makes me fall as much in love IF NOT MORE with the Heroine- she is winning. Nicole is such an amazing character. She is strong. I mean tough as nails this one. She is smart and talented. She’s funny and she keeps her man on his toes and I love it.
I could go on for probably a century about how much I enjoyed this book. I realize now I really didn’t tell you about the story- and honestly I don’t think I need to. It’s good. It’s great. I read through it multiple times and never once got bored. It’s not super heavy or angsty or stressful- but it’s real. It’s something that could happen and it’s something that could also not work out in every scenario. But thank God it did here. #TeamVicole forever. AND…
