WRECK ME by Jessica Sorensen: Book Review

When Avery Hensley met Conner Wellings, she thought she’d found the guy she was going to spend the rest of her life with. She got married young and had the most beautiful son in the world.

Life seemed perfect.

But not everything is what it seems.

Turned out Conner had another side to him, a darker side that Avery didn’t see coming. He wrecked and broke her into a thousand pieces, leaving Avery to put herself back together. From then on, Avery vows never to let a man into her life again.

But then she meets Tristan Morganson. He’s sweet and sexy and wrecks Avery in a different way than Conner did, the kind of way that makes her feel alive again, the kind of way that makes her think maybe not all guys are bad. But can Avery trust him enough to let her walls come crumbling down?

MICHELLE’S REVIEW

I just don’t understand how Jessica Sorensen can write story, after story, after story and each one have originality, heart, emotion, steam- just EVERYTHING! We finally get Tristan’s story. Nova and Quinton fans know what a big deal this is. I don’t know if there are plans for more story for Tristan but this book ended on a really good note. Avery is the perfect match for Tristan. I’m not saying two people who are both broken need to be together but these two people NEED to be together. Tristan needs Avery in such a real way. I think everyone needs something good in a sea of bad and that’s what she is. Not that she saves him or does anything for him - but that she exists and that’s enough. And Avery needs Tristan. Everyone deserves to feel safe and to feel real love and that’s what Tristan gives her. Connor is the worst and even though I knew to expect something bad from the synopsis- I wasn’t prepared to hate him the way I did. If you’ve read the rest of the Nova series- like I have- you were probably dying for Tristan to get some good in his life. And he does and it’s beautiful. While you don’t HAVE to read the first three books (in my opinion) I think you should because Nova and Quinton’s story really sets the scene and I don’t think you will connect with Tristan in the way you need to in order to fall in love with him here. Jessica Sorensen is just amazing. I am in awe of her ability to come up with something so fresh and interesting in each of her stories. It would be so easy for her to be retelling the same thing over and over. A large majority of her characters have similar backgrounds. Yet somehow- she spins something new and fresh each and every time. Makes me just want to do this:
