Ok lovers- be warned- this book ends on a cliffy.
It also ends with some pretty hot sex so that will soften the blow.
Steph and Jake are two sexy people looking for the same thing- diamonds.
The problem is- the person they are after is Steph’s ex-step father and while she wants justice for her mother, she doesn’t want to believe the man that raised her is a bad person. Jake- on the other hand- is hired to find out what Eli did with the money he stole from his partner and his foundation. That’s all. But when he meets Steph- suddenly just doing his job get harder.
In true Lauren Blakely style- this book is equal parts fun, light, sexy and interesting. It took me a little while to really get into the story and the characters but once I did, I raced through the book.
I cannot wait to see how their story wraps up. The sexual tension and chemistry is super high but so is the level of mistrust. These two will have to figure out for once and for all if they are really on the same side. I think book 2 is going to have a lot of twists and turns and I can’t wait!
