Shannon MacLeod has always gone for the wrong type of man. After she drifted from one toxic relationship to the next, her last boyfriend gave her a wakeup call in the worst possible way. With her world shattered, she’s sworn off men—especially those of the bad-boy variety.
Cole Walker is exactly the sort that Shannon wants to avoid—gorgeous, tattooed, charming, and cocky. But his rough exterior hides a good man who’s ready to find “the one.” He’s determined to pull Shannon from her self-imposed solitude and win her heart.
As Shannon opens up in the face of Cole’s steady devotion, the passion between them ignites to blazing levels. But when Shannon’s past comes back to haunt her, her fears may destroy the trust Cole has built between them—and tear them apart for good…
MICHELLE’S REVIEW
It’s official. I’m obsessed with Samantha Young and I’ll read anything she writes. Anything. She could write Justin Beiber’s biography and I will read it. Because she is amazing and can do no wrong. This is how I feel every time I read something by SYoung:

Let’s get one thing straight. Braden Carmichael will forever and always have my heart. I won’t rest until he’s mine. But Cole. Sweet, sexy, all grown up Cole. You sir, have stolen my heart a bit. Cole and Shannon’s story is actually very reminiscent of Joss and Braden’s story.
Shannon has a penchant for bad boys and she assumes she knows the type of guy Cole is just by looking at him. She writes him off in the worst way possible- not knowing it at the time. But eventually, they find their way to one another. Much like what we’ve seen with couples that SYoung writes, when things are good- they are really good. The sex is hot, the romance is high and you find yourself irrationally jealous of characters in a book.
But, the ghosts of Shannon’s past flare up in an unexpected way. Let me just pause to say- I kind of hate her sister. And by kind of…I mean, I do.
I will say- in terms of drama and angst- this is has tons of it but the way it’s written, it’s not all focused in one event. We see the angst and the drama manifest along the way in smaller helpings. For me, it’s a win because angst gives me heartburn.

As usual, you see the whole gang and it’s wonderful. But I love that we get to see Cole all grown up. The story of how Shannon and Cole meet is really sweet and I thought it was an extra nice touch. And the connections that Shannon makes with Cole’s family- especially Hannah and Joss are really touching.
There is an AMAZING supporting cast from the tattoo parlor where Cole works. Crass roommates and adorable gay couples- you really can’t go wrong.

Samantha Young fans- you will not be disappointed and if you haven’t read Samantha’s books- don’t even talk to me right now.

Stop what you’re doing, pick up On Dublin Street (and while you’re at it- get the whole series and Into the Deep and Out of the Shallows because everything Sam writes turns to gold) and stat reading. You will not be disappointed.
