Tara Sivec has done it again. What has she done? Made me feel like I’m high as a kite while reading a book without ever having actually smoked any pot.
We’re back with the Holiday family in the third installment of Sam Stocking and Noel Holiday’s epic, whirlwind and totally insane love story. They fell in love during Christmas, got engaged on Valentine’s Day so why not get married on the 4th of July?? This book is classic funny Tara with so much insane shit happening you have to read it to believe it. Between pot rice krispies, porn so disturbing it makes a grown man cry, a zombie cat and an appearance from Fat Ralph (no- the other Fat Ralph) you’ll be laughing from the first page to the last.
When it comes to Tara Sivec, be prepared for anything to happen. Even something like this.
In between all of the bat shit crazy, there’s still a lot of really sweet moments between Sam and Noel that makes you remember why you root for these two crazy kids despite all odds. The real question is, will they actually be able to make it to their vows without everything going up in flames…literally.
In classic Tara Sivec style this book is hilarious and yet somehow sweet and heartwarming. It reminds us that families are crazy but they make life fun and interesting. Ok so your family is probably not as much fun as the Holiday’s but whatever. You get the idea. Oh and if you ever get a chance to meet Tara- make sure to ask her about the real story of Turd Ferguson the zombie cat.
