  1. I would soo love to read these books! :)

  2. Forgot the lyrics: I love the song Griffin Peterson wrote for Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover!

  3. Favorite lyric: “Love’s the opposite of indifference” - Lumineers

    Such a great line!

  4. The Rose by Bette Midler might be an oldie but it is a great song and has always been my favorite because it brings out strong emotions in me, both happy and sad. Here are the lyrics:
Some say love, it is a river that drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger an endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower and you, it’s only seed

It’s the heart, afraid of breaking that never learns to dance
It’s the dream, afraid of waking that never takes the chance
It’s the one who won’t be taken who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying that never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely and the road has been too long
And you think that love is only for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snow
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love, in the spring becomes the rose

  5. Pretty, pretty please, don’t you ever, ever feel
Like you’re less than fucking perfect
Made a wrong turn once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
    Bad decisions, that’s alright
    Welcome to my silly life

    Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss ‘No way, it’s all good’
    It didn’t slow me down.
    Mistaken, always second guessing
    Underestimated, look I’m still around

Pretty, pretty please, don’t you ever, ever feel
Like you’re less than fucking perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, you’re fucking perfect to me

You’re so mean (so mean) when you talk (when you talk)
    About yourself. You were wrong.
Change the voices (change the voices) in your head (in your head)
    Make them like you instead.

    So complicated,
Look how we all make it.
    Filled with so much hatred
    Such a tired game
It’s enough, I’ve done all I could think of
    Chased down all my demons
I’ve seen you do the same
    (Oh oh)

Pretty, pretty please, don’t you ever, ever feel
Like you’re less than fucking perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, you’re fucking perfect to me

The whole world’s scared, so I swallow the fear
The only thing I should be drinking is an ice cold beer
So cool in lying and we try, try, try but we try too hard
And it’s a waste of my time.
Done looking for the critics, cause they’re everywhere
They don’t like my jeans, they don’t get my hair
Exchange ourselves and we do it all the time
Why do we do that, why do I do that (why do I do that)?

    (Yeah! Oh!)
    Oh, pretty, pretty, pretty

Pretty, pretty please, don’t you ever, ever feel
Like you’re less than fucking perfect
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, you’re fucking perfect to me
    (You’re perfect, you’re perfect)
Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel
Like you’re nothing, you’re fucking perfect to me.

  6. You make me wanna roll my window down and cruise!! Fla/geo line Cruise

  7. They sound like my kind of great books!
    (some song lyrics!)
Take the ribbon from my hair
Shake it loose and let it fall
    Laying soft against your skin
Like the shadows on the wall.
Come and lay down by my side.
    ‘Till the early morning light.
All I’m taking is your time.
Help me make it through the night.

  8. Mick Murphy says:

My favorite lyrics are from “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd.

How I wish, how I wish you were here.
    We’re just two lost souls
    Swimming in a fish bowl,
    Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
    What have we found?
    The same old fears.
    Wish you were here.

    Thank you!!!

  9. One of my favorite lyrics is from Avenged Sevenfold’s “Acid Rain”
Children still play in the garden
Dance as the sun slips away
    Not even stars last forever
    Cleanse us Acid rain……

Thanks for the chance to read what sounds to be an amazing book!!

  10. Favorite lyrics: the more I know the less I understand and all the things I thought I knew I’m learning them again. - India.Arie

  11. This is the next book on my TBR list.
lyric: Not a day goes by,
That I don’t think of you,
I’m always asking why this crazy world had to lose,
Such a ray of light we never knew,
    Gone too soon, yeah.
From Gone to soon by Daughtry

  12. Melissa Crisp says:

My favorite lyrics are actually tattooed on my back. It is from the song Before I Die by Papa Roach. They are ” Don’t change when its too late”

  13. Stephanie F says:

I remember that old, quiet day
I remember the innocence with it
I remember the death, it was beautiful
I remember the nothingness of me

I Remember back, in the beginning
I remember the years all too well
I remember dreams of a better world
And I remember what they did to me

I know that I can survive this
    I know that there’s a way
I know that I can survive this
    I see a way

    Release me from these memories
And show me a way to be free
    Release me from these chains
And show me a way for me to start again and start this all over

    - Remember by In This Moment

  14. Tina McClay says:

Greater is the one that is living inside of me than he who lives in world. Greater by MercyMe
