Hartwell, Delaware—the perfect place to get away from it all, and find what you never knew you needed…

Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.

Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.

Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime.

You all know that there is no book boyfriend I love more than Braden Carmichael. But Vaughn Tremaine might be my new addiction. At least he’s my current addiction.

I absolutely loved EVERY LITTLE THING by Samantha Young. I really enjoyed the first book in the Hart’s Boardwalk series but Vaughn and Bailey’s story was just amazing.

Bailey is the kind of heroine you fall in love with because she’s just great and the kind of woman you can imagine being friends with. Vaughn and Bailey have been fighting their attraction to one another since the beginning. It’s great because all that witty banter makes for some great foreplay in between the sheets!

And Vaughn is just perfect. That blend of Alpha and the kind of guy that loves a strong woman is the perfect hero for me. He admires Bailey’s strength and her fire but he also doesn’t hesitate to protect her. Just swoon.

The back and forth between these two is at times maddening but when it all comes together- it’s totally worth it. Yes- there are great sexy times. But beyond that- this story is the kind where the connection between the two characters is so perfect that you almost feel like you are experiencing their love with them.

It’s the way I felt about Braden and Joss in ON DUBLIN STREET and I think that’s why I loved this book so much. I mean anything that reminds me of my favorite romance ever is going to be a win. But Vaughn and Bailey’s story is different and stands on its own.

If you’re a fan of Samantha Young – you will fall in love with this book.

MICHELLE’S REVIEW

I love everything that JenFred writes but I fell in love with her books because of the WOODLANDS series. So I can’t tell you how excited I was to return to these characters with Adam’s story.

I first really became intrigued by Adam during Finn’s story. Sure- he’s a rocker- but there was always something really sweet about him.

And this books further proves that.

When he first lays eyes on Landry- he’s hooked. Except she’s his new front man’s, Davis, sister. And Davis is too good and also the person that Adam believes will solidify his bands success. Top that off with a few other reasons why Landry is untouchable and Adam is faced with a serious case of the blue balls.

This book is definitely the slow burn variety and it’s so great. I absolutely loved the friendship that builds between these two and when they do come together- fireworks!

This book has a perfect balance of humor, steam and romance that make it a book you won’t want to put down.

While this is part of the Woodlands series, it could be read as a standalone. I hope that we get a spin off series of Adam’s band mates!!! Because…

MICHELLE’S REVIEW

Wow. Kristen Ashley is queen. The end.

Jk. I have more to say about her latest book – THE DEEP END.

First of all- for die hard KA fans- this is different. This is a BDSM focused book and therefore it’s got some erotic stuff and some stuff you’ve probably never seen from KA. And because she’s kick ass- this is about a female Domme.

Now, if you’re worried about a male submissive (we know KA excels at alphas) don’t you worry. Olivier (aka Olly aka the beast) is 100% Alpha outside of the scene. While he is a sub in the BDSM arena- he never completely let’s go of his Alpha tendencies.

I’ll admit this book took me a second to get into but once I was in- I was in. For me it was mostly about the connection between Amelie and Olivier. It was so intense and so different in a lot of ways. But at the core of it – no matter what happens in the bedroom- this is about how people are vulnerable when it comes to love and I think that’s he best part. It’s really a love story at the end of the day.

Because it’s KA there are pieces of mystery within the story and overall I found those interesting but there were a few loose ends I was still curious about. Perhaps those will be answered in other books in the series.

Overall- I recommend this books because it’s just a good one. It may not be classic KA but it has those elements we love- alpha male, sexy times, strong female lead and an entertaining story line.

EXCERPT

At that moment, for the first time in years, she was paying no attention to Stellan.

This was because Talia’s tall frame shifting out of the way offered an unhindered view of something else that had slipped in without her notice.

And gazing at him, Amélie went still.

As did her breath.

And her heartbeat.

Leaning a shoulder against the wall beyond the edge of the bar, six or seven feet from the door to the playrooms, he was surveying the scene as if he wasn’t part of it.

Or as if it was he who was on the prowl.

But although a Dominant could mingle freely in the open space, this would be done with some intent.

If they were on the hunt, they’d be at a booth.

Subs were not allowed to sit in a booth unless the invitation was extended. They populated the floor, on display, it was requisite.

In the mesh of bodies, a sub could be identified in a variety of ways. The cast of their gaze. Their bearing. Jewelry that declared their status.

And their position in the hunting ground.

No Dominant would linger there like he was, partially for that reason. Clear communication and transparent messages were key in their world. No Dom would give the impression of being a sub.

This was explained at length during membership orientation.

That magnificent beast was a sub.

An alpha-sub, assuredly.

It came from his sheer size, like a cloak stitched to his skin he had no hope of shrugging off (not that he’d wish to).

He had to be six five, perhaps taller. His dark suit and mono-chromatic shirt necessarily tailored for his physique for there were very few men on this earth that had it. His shoulders as wide as a log. His chest a veritable wall. The muscles Amélie had no doubt were hidden under his clothing apparent in the exposed line of his throat. It wasn’t that he had no neck. But that lethal shank of corded, sinewy muscle could not be established and maintained if the rest of him didn’t match precisely.

She knew he was alpha beyond that. His stance at the wall, casual and self-assured, it was openly cocky. He knew his allure. He knew his beauty. He knew even if he wasn’t exactly your type, every being would understand with base instinct his attraction.

He also knew how to use this. All of it. It was his art as sure as reading it on him was Amélie’s.

From what she could tell, his hair was dark blond, the thickness of it, how it was longer at the top, clipped short at neck and ears was so appealing, she was willing to make that single allowance for she preferred her toys to have dark hair.

She made that allowance, but if she had her way, and she often did, he’d grow it longer so there’d be more of it to fist her fingers into as a means to use to make him serve her will.

His facial features only heightened his appeal that already, with the rest of him, defied belief.

A strong brow over eyes she couldn’t see the color of from her distance. Hollowed cheeks under high cheekbones and over a firm, cut, clean-shaven jaw. And a large nose that was openly pugilistic, the dent at the top of the bridge not created by God but by a break that he didn’t deem important enough to have set properly.

Staring at him, utterly incapable of not doing it openly, she felt the insides of her thighs tingle. And her nipples were hard buds, the restriction of the lace of her bra suddenly excruciating.

That…

Now that was whisky.

“Oh my, Leigh, are you seeing what I’m seeing?” Mirabelle asked. And before she could answer, her friend went on, “It’s like he was made for you.”

It was, indeed.

Kristin Ashley - headshotAbout Kristen Ashley:

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA and nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!). Her mother said they took Kristen away, put her Mom back in her room, her mother looked out the window, and Gary was on fire (Dr. King had been assassinated four days before). Kristen’s Mom remembered thinking it was the end of the world. Quite the dramatic beginning.

Nothing’s changed.

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana and has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus, she’s blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her family was (is) loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write. They all lived together on a very small farm in a small farm town in the heartland. She grew up with Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing, it keeps getting better.
