PEPPER’S REVIEW OF MY RELUCTANT WARDEN
So this book picks up right where we left off with Ward of the Vampire. I freaking loved that book. This one moved a little slower for me, however was still great! AND I cannot wait to see what happens next!! I still stand by my first observation, that Kallysten knows how to get a reader hooked!
THE BASICS:
This part of the story takes us through Angelina’s first day or so being “captive” in the hot vampire’s mansion. Hot vampire, Morgan Ward, does not want her there, however his sister put the whole thing in motion by “compelling” Angelina to not be able to leave. So basically neither person wants the situation to be happening, however Morgan’s sister, Miss Delilah, is making sure they “enjoy” their time together - damn those sneaky vampires!!
CAST:
As far as leading characters go, we were introduced to them in the first book. Angelina is our lovely lady, feisty and super horny for Mr. Ward. Morgan is our hottie vampire who was a royal dick in the first book, and continues to be. I am getting the feeling he is completely pissed that he is a vampire and can do nothing about it. The only time he is decent is when he is interacting with Angelina through her mind - you need to read to get it.
BETWEEN THE SHEETS:
Kallysten knows how to write a hot sex scene. I just want more and more and more. I feel that the passion is going to escalate and I can’t freaking wait!
SUPPORTING CAST:
Steven the butler. He is human and Angelina thinks she has an ally with him. WRONG!! He is severely loyal to Mr. Ward and has not divulged much to Angelina in the way of the vampire secrets.
